Packages wants to reinstall after repository change

Postby osoloco » Mon Mar 11, 2013 14:05

I have changed the repositories from sabayon-limbo to sabayon-weekly since my bandwidth is not good enough for frecquent updates.

However when I try to upgrade the system (after equo update --force), I get a huge upgrade queue (425 updates) mainly because several packages are going to be reinstalled from the same version. For instance:
k3b-2-0.2-r4 {from: 2-0.2-r4}
libreoffice-4.0.1.2 {from: 4.0.1.2}
scribus-1.4.1-r1 {from: 1.4.1-r1}

Is that normal? Is there any way to avoid the reinstallation of those packages? It seems like the whole system is going to be reinstalled again!

I am running a 64 bit Sabayon 11, kernel 3.8, KDE 4.10.

Thanks in advance for any hint.

this is a normal "downgrade"

Entropy follow this directive
app/foo::<repository-id>

you had app/fooo::repository-limbo

Now you have : app/foo::repository-weekly

Same version but different repsoitory.
