Kernel upgrade [Solved]

So, I'm new to kernel-switcher but yesterday i was trying to update to 3.7.4 and i simply cant..

i did: kernel-switcher switch sys-linux/linux-sabayon-3.7.4

it downloaded a bunch of stuff and rebooted into 3.7.0.. im new to gentoo so i dont know if im really doing it right..

Your kernel update went well...the 3.7 is the 3.7.4 kernel. It's just - in my undstanding - a different display-description.

If you do
Code: Select all
eselect kernel list
you can see, that the right one is active and in use, there's no possibility to chose another 3.7.x kernel.

hmmm yeah with eselect, i still see 3.7.0 not 3.7.4, is this correct?

i just found it very odd that the name havent changed to 3.7.4 anywhere
