Hi all,
As a long time user from Debian I always found all required software in repositories.Switching to Sabayon is a real pleasure but I am surprised to see that some very common software is missing from repositories (or may be I am not using equo search queries in the right way?).
equo search puppet returns nothing usable, no software
I hoped to see puppet daemon and puppet client packages but nothing.
The graphical tool returns the same thing while following the link to the sabayon packages (webpage) shows me puppet available in some quite recent versions as shown here : https://packages.sabayon.org/quicksearc ... et&x=0&y=0
This is a gentoo source package isn't it ? I guess that portage should be my friend (emrge puppet ) but as stated in the Sabayon docs mixing equo & emerge is tricky isn'it ?
What is the correct way to handle such problem ?
I am interested in the puppet's case but in the more global approach ...
For puppet I can compile it after installing ruby....
Thanks for your help and for your patience...
Kind regards
Jerome
