unreadable characters - firefox - Mate desktop [Solved]

Hello,

I installed today the Mate desktop and Firefox 17.
But if I type something in Google or in a page with a drop down menu the characters in the drop down menu and in the Google search box are unreadable.

The characters have a very light gray color so you almost can see in a white background.

Does anyone seen this before and do anyone know how to solve this ?

I also have a similar problem. I installed MATE i686, did an equo upgrade and reboot. Since then, all my desktop is showing unreadable characters.



As I couldn't do anything on my desktop, I hit Ctrl+F1 and got in console mode. The characters are fine in console mode, so there seem to be a problem with MATE, but I can't find what it is.

Any ideas ?

I just did a fresh install today on my computer of Sabayon X then did equo upgrade and everything in gnome is all square characters.

I had to use the 304 nvidia-drivers as my graphics card just became legacy.

Anyone else have this problem?!

Of course this breaks the Citrix ica installer (not the non-functional one in the repository but the installer from citrix)

I get this error:

No target hinst.msg found under for en_US.UTF-8

I figure I will change my enviroment back to UTF-8 install it then switch it back.
