I only know of one printed book on Gentoo, and that is in German and was published in 2008 and so is way out of date.

The on-line book Linux Sea uses Gentoo to teach users about Linux, so that might be of interest. Of course the on-line Gentoo Handbook is a must, and does teach you how to intall Gentoo from scratch, with explanations. If you were to print it out, it would be over 70 A4 pages.

As far as the SL binary package manager Entropy is concerned, these forums and the SL Wiki will have to be your principal resource, as there is nothing more extensive.

EDIT: This post was in reply to a post by a user who subsequently requested that his account be deleted. His post was requesting recommendations for books to help him learn more about Gentoo and SL. I have left my post here as it might be of help to someone else searching in future.

I have to say the man page on equo is pretty straight forward and self explanatory. Considering most of of the commands are documented there as well, i'd say it's pretty extensive.

However a complete book on sabayon as an OS would be nice. One with nice pictures, tips and tricks with an overall cool way a to use Linux which we know sabayon is well capable of.

Hm, if you ask me, it will be a long way until we reach this goal. Look, the wiki is quite outdated (at least the non-English parts) *sighs*
We're working on it, to update the about two years old parts. But I guess, we're busy for about one year with it.
Then, someone could think about use the wiki as base for printing a book.

I know from ubuntuusers.de (biggest German community platform), that they create the offline version of their wiki using a script. I think, same will be possible with our's, too. Since it uses Mediawiki and I know several wikibooks.
Time will show.
