Checksum errors on "equo upgrade"

Postby udiljak » Wed Jan 09, 2013 11:53

Hi.

I continue getting checksum errors when trying to upgrade the sulfur package from sabayon weekly.

## [U] [sabayon-weekly] app-admin/sulfur-1.0_rc105|4 [1.0_rc104|26]

Messeges are in German so it won't help much. In other threads I found solutions for the message "Checksum does not match. Download attempt #1".

So I tried:
> equo update --force
which didn't help.

Can anyone give me a hint?

Thanks!

I'm having the same problem. My KDE x86 upgraded - eventually - but my KDE AMD64 keeps timing out and having checksum errors. I suspect that either the mirrors haven't finished propagating properly or a bad package has crept in. If others are getting the same it will be worth filing a bug.

Some ideas: First, run "equo update" to make sure, your repositories are up-to-date (I had a similar error some time ago). Second, why do you want to use Sulfur? Rigo is the recent GUI for package management.

For my system doing an
Code: Select all
 equo update --force
made no difference. sulfur was part of the upgrade process so if it's not necessary there is a problem with dependencies. I certainly have sulfur 1_rc105 installed (everything else in entropy is 161) doing an
Code: Select all
equo remove sulfur --ask
I get no dependencies being removed. So perhaps it should be removed.

I have removed sulfur from the amd64 machine and the upgrade is going smoothly. I don't yet if that action will impact on anything else.

AFAIK Sulfur is deprecated.

Same problem here.

But there's a bug here. Probably it's listed on the repos but it's not present on the mirrors. Sending a bug report...
