LightDM KDE - do these gentoo instructs apply?

I need to try a different login manager temporarily, to see if something does or does not take place, experiment kind of thing (I want to bypass KDM). I heard of Lightdm-KDE in an Ubuntu ppa a while back but found nothing similarly named in Sabayon. But then I read this, which explains:

The LightDM KDE greeter also provides a KCM (KDE Control Module), which appears in the System Settings under System Administration → Login Screen (LightDM)

Due to LightDM currently assuming GTK+ greeter as the default, in case you want to use the KDE greeter, you need to explicitly specify it in the /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf:

I'm assuming the rest of it applies, etc, to Sabayon?

I'd assume so too. But it seems you have to install lightdm-kde through portage. Which I wouldn't since it's generally not recommended on Sabayon.

The gtk greeter also works for KDE though, it's just ugly themed.

Thanks Zeader, that's the back up plan. Is it me being dense though (more than likely) but the way I read that is LightDM includes the KDE / GTK greeter??? and if you install LightDM you can configure it either way?
