Radeon hd 6310 blue sceen after install

Works on boot live cd/usb but after install boots blue screen nothing more guessing same prob as other the video when can u update install with the fix download new version
i got amd e-300 apu radeon hd
hp 2000 board id 3577
radeon hd 6310

check my thread on newer ATI cards. seems the radeon (opensource) driver loads which causes endless headaches with trying to load ati-drivers.

ya ive always had problems installing drivers im still new to command lines have to guide me through every step
drivers always in that gz tar what ever and never figer how to install them

Sorry, it does get a bit complicated, apologies for not cleaning up my own instructions sooner:-)

Perhaps this may help.

open a konsole window (or xterm?) and "su" (become root user) and enter root password when prompted. The following commands may help do the trick for you, cut-n-paste except for the edit of the grub file itself.

equo remove ati-drivers
echo "blacklist radeon" >> /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf


(edit /etc/default/grub as mentioned in article above using nano, kwrite, vi, or your favorite editor)

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="nomodeset"


then run these "cut-n-paste" style as root:

equo remove  xf86-video-ati
equo remove --configfiles xf86-video-ati
equo install =sys-kernel/linux-sabayon-3.5-r7
equo install =sys-kernel/sabayon-sources-3.7-r3
equo install x11-drivers/ati-drivers-12.10#3.7.0-sabayon amdcccle
eselect bzimage set kernel-genkernel-x86_64-3.7.0-sabayon
eselect kernel set linux-3.7.0-sabayon
eselect opencl set amd
eselect opengl set amd


Then reboot, and again, open a window (e.g. konsole) and su to root.

/opt/bin/amdcccle


which brings up a gui to allow you to set the various parameters of the amd/ati driver if you wish.

Yes, I'm certain one can do most of this (except edit the file /etc/default/grub) with rigo, the gui package manager.

And yes, I'm a bit old school, grew up with the command line.
