Live USB Problem [Solved]

Postby Brianrh » Mon Dec 31, 2012 15:31

Hi

I created a live USB of Sabyon Xfce using Imagewriter and it seems to start booting okay. I get to the menu and select run and it carries on a bit then requests a password. I tried "enter" as suggested in the Wiki but that didn't work; I tried "guest", "sabayon" and "sabyonuser" but none of these allowed me to progress.

Please can you tell me what I should be entering?

Thanks.

Press the Esc key on your keyboard (just a guess).

Thanks Fitzcarraldo for suggesting Esc but I had tried this and had several attempts and re-starts and couldn't get any password to work.

However out of desparation I tried re-creating a Live USB but this time with Unetbootin. I used the same downloaded ISO and strangely Sabayon 10 Xfce started up slightly different. The option of F2 for verbose (it had been Alt-F1 with the other Live USB) and the menu was different. However it booted up this time with no password required.
