I did this a couple of years ago and did know better but with the passage of time I lapsed.
That is at the end of the emerge --sync
I mindlessly obeyed the suggestion to

I know better but it was Late and a knee jerk reaction.
So, I quickly

Anyway, I did screw up a system a few years back by emerging portage against all advice.
So, What I am looking for is some Advice..
1. What are the possibilities of instability with the Install (Best Opinion)
2. Possible fixes or Suggestions of configs to check/correct..
3.. Lastly, Should I not roll the dice and Just Reinstall

Hopefully, I can go another 2 years before being Portage Stupid..

I think I've seen this problem addressed in these forums before now, so have a trawl through the forums (using DuckDuckGo if the forum Search facility does not come up trumps). As the current version of sys-apps/portage in the Entropy Weekly repository is 2.2.0_alpha142, my inclination as a non-expert in Entropy would be to merge that version first:

Yes I will have to do a DuckDuck or StartPage as the words emerge/Portage even with combinations of sync give me a
query were ignored because they are too common words in the Portage forum...

Which in a portage world like Gentoo or Calculate is correct. He came from Gentoo.
I was going to inform him with a Link to our Wiki and How to: Mix Portage and Entorpy
.. This is my fault for installing and playing around with Calculate lately.
Not that Calculate is at fault for my error. Just the hopping around between equo and emerge with the two systems and I lost my sense of where I was.. heh heh..
So, a lot of searching has left me w/o a fix.
Fitzcarraldo has given me a pointer to start.
If lxnay, joost or WolfDen could weigh in here maybe they could provide a more complete solution.

I don't know what version portage installed for portage, but regardless - equo install portage will bring it back to what is current in entropy.

Happy that there was a simple solution waiting in the wings. :^)
One of the great features of Sabayon Gentoo is being able if needed to Mix Entropy and Portage.
Not necessary for most but can be handy for some.
