No wireless network after kernel 3.6 upgrade on Lenovo IdealPad P585 AMD A6-4400M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux
iwconfig
eth0 no wireless extensions.
lo no wireless extensions.
wlan0 IEEE 802.11bgn ESSID:off/any
Mode:Managed Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=19 dBm
Retry long limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Encryption key:off
Power Management:off
Then I install from RIGO Broadcom STA 5.100...2-r2#3.6.0-sabayon and Ndiswrapper 1.58-rc1#3.6.0-sabayon and make update again. Can't connect. It seems that firmware & drivers disappeared.

What Broadcom WiFi controller does that laptop have? Use the lspci command as root user to find out. If it's the BCM4313, see the thread No network after kernel 3.6 upgrade on DELL N5010 [Solved]. If it's the BCM4311, see the thread Dell lattitude D620 cant connect [Solved]. You probably can get it working by blacklisting the Broadcom STA module and loading one of the open-source Broadcom modules.

Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller (rev 01) Can't do anything... I wait for sabayon 11 - I'm happy to use 3.5 kernel - everything works fine! Fast and quick! Sometimes updates bring worry. In ubuntu all updates work fine but ubuntu like a turtle is very slow. I prefer Gentoo.
