xscreensaver Broken After Update [Solved]

Just did the latest update and after reboot, xscreensaver reported:

glslideshow: error while loading shared libraries: libGLU.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Checked in /usr/lib:

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 33 Dec 10 02:14 libGL.so -> opengl/nvidia/lib/libGL.so.310.19
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 33 Dec 10 02:14 libGL.so.1 -> opengl/nvidia/lib/libGL.so.310.19
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 39 Sep 8 22:08 libGLU.so -> opengl/xorg-x11/lib/libGLU.so.1.3.09000
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 May 20 2012 libMesaGLU.so -> libGLU.so.1.3

Is 'libGLU.so' the same as 'libGLU.so.1' ? Re-installed xscreensaver but no joy. I much prefer xscreensaver over its kde counterpart. So what is the proper symlink creation command to point to the correct library?

equo deptest

When doing updates, I can't stress that enough after all the updates are in, do equo deptest

Thnx much. That worked. Did not know about that 'deptest'. Made a note of that for future actions.
