Cannot install Sabayon X MATE 64 bit

Helo.
Yesterday, I tried to install sabayon x 64 bit MATE, cause I liked the live version very much.
Unfortunately I cannot install it, it stops durinng the file copying process with some anaconda installer bug.
Is this a known problem in that version?
Has anyone installed that version successfully yet?

Hello, Tried to install Sabayon X MATE 64 bit, could not install it, ran into an Anaconda Installer but at approx 21% of copying file progress. Any Ideas what to do?

I've merged the identical topics.

Have you tried to partition the disk using the tools provided by the iso (either GParted or the GNOME disk partitioning utility) instead of using the (evil) Anaconda partitioner?
Try to feed Anaconda with the partitioned disk.

No, I have not tried that yet.
If the Anaconda partitioner is so bad, why is it used?

Well, I guess it's subjective, I often had bad experiences with that so I don't like it (I also had a problem similar to your one, I fixed it that way, I hope it will also work for you).
I did read from many users that they find it to be a good and reliable installer though.

I have done at least half a dozen installs with anaconda, all failed during partitioning.

HardyH, it's luck of the draw and depends on what hardware you have. Over the years I've performed many installations on several of own my machines and other people's machines; the SL Installer works consistently on some machines but fails consistently on other machines. My usual approach to installing SL is to boot SystemRescueCd, use GParted to partition and format the HDD, shut down, boot the desired SL LiveDVD and run the SL Installer.
