I am a total numpty regarding Sabyon/gentoo but on installing version 10 as oppossed to 8 all seems to have gone OK. The previous problem being ancient Nvidia chip/driver, perhaps certain drivers have been blocked automatically but updates seem ok using 'Rigo', including installing k3b under Gnome (3)- or nouvoeau was installed as default, which would be good. In short, great work and if I can continue to update and use that would be great.

I didn't really understand your question, are you asking if it is safe to upgrade your system while using the nouveau drivers?
