Chromium 23.0.1271.64 not displaying images [Solved]

All of a sudden, Chromium 23.0.1271.64 is not displaying images in web sites. For example, news.google.com shows all images blocked. I would attach a screenshot but apparently the board's attachment quota is reached. I disabled Ad-block; tried closing and restarting; tried clearing the cache. All to no avail. Any ideas? Sites work flawlessly (even with ad-block) in Firefox.

www-client/chromium-23.0.1271.64 works fine without that failure on my environment
Portage 2.2.0_alpha142 (default/linux/amd64/10.0/desktop, gcc-4.6.3-vanilla, glibc-2.15-r2, 3.6.0-sabayon x86_64)

me too, long times using firefox + thunderbird,

but about some weeks i use most time chromium with not so much problems i have with the mozilla browsers..

i think, best is to use the browser which works better for me/ you withoutout troubles

best i have see is that i can use with all machines same Browser-config over my google-account...

Same exact problem on my system. Some images do not display after upgrading to Chromium 23.

I tried reinstalling chromium, jpeg-8c, deleting all user data, then equo deptest/libtest to no avail. Also no errors are displayed when launched from a terminal.

Same problem (after update to v. 23) here. Looks like that only jpgs not displaying. png files are working for me.
And it look like that previous version also affected (on sabayon only?). I found this issue

I'm using Sabayon X KDE 64.
I try to delete .config/chromium - .cache/chromium and use incognito mode to get disabled plugins but all without luck.

Background of Gmail picture not being displayed
Also when going to my google site only half of the changed standard colours are being displayed, the other colours are back to standard but when I boot with firefox it shows correctly but with some delay.

The SL development team are looking into it. Expect a fix in the Entropy repository as soon as they have found one.

The problem is an old lib that is installed on your system: media-libs/jpeg-8c
Only older installations seem to be affected by this, chromium tries to use this lib because it found this one.

We are going to drop this lib from Entropy.
A while back we moved to media-libs/libjpeg-turbo and for some reason this old lib was left behind, and installed on some user systems.
