SL is my abbreviation for Sabayon Linux.

Asimov wrote:Should a ban sudo when i make and compilation or a package, too ? is "su root" is a better alternative

The su command is sufficient, as I showed in a previous post. For example, if you wanted to install the package filezilla, you would do the following in a Konsole window:

Code: Select all
$ su
Password: <--- Enter the root user's password here, not your password.
# equo install filezilla
# equo conf update
# exit
exit
$

Make sure you study all of the SL Wiki article Entropy. It is essential to understand how to use the package manager properly.

When you insert a CD into the optical drive, the KDE Device Notifier in the System Tray will pop-up an Available Devices pane to notify you that there is an optical disc in the drive and show you a number of choices (for example 'Burn using K3b' if it's a blank CD/DVD, 'Open with File Manager' if it's a data disc, and so on). If you select Open with File Manager, a Dolphin window will open; you won't get an icon on the desktop. Of course if you were to open a Dolphin or Konqueror window, you'd see an icon for the disc in that.

Is not the case. So far i can listening music with clementine. But I can't read data data disk.

i did a reinstall of rigo and i can figuring out what is the problem. Equo and sulfur are doing well.

Small problem, i'm stock with UTC time. It used to be possible to have a system on UTC time and have desktop on local time. But i seem that not the case anymore ...

In accordance with the SL Wiki article on Entropy, make sure you have updated and upgraded your installation:

Code: Select all
$ su
Password:
# equo update
# equo upgrade
# equo conf update
# equo deptest
# equo libtest
# exit
exit
$

As for your clock, I operate the way you stated. If you want the system clock to be UTC and have the KDE desktop clock display local time or the time of any other time zone around the world as I do, first follow the SL Wiki article HOWTO: Clock, Time, UTC, Dual boot with Windows (it's applicable even if you don't dual boot), then change the file /etc/conf.d/hwclock to be as follows:

Code: Select all
# Set CLOCK to "UTC" if your Hardware Clock is set to UTC (also known as
# Greenwich Mean Time).  If that clock is set to the local time, then
# set CLOCK to "local".  Note that if you dual boot with Windows, then
# you should set it to "local".
clock="UTC"

# If you want the hwclock script to set the system time (software clock)
# to match the current hardware clock during bootup, leave this
# commented out.
# However, you can set this to "NO" ifyou are running a modern kernel
# with CONFIG_RTC_HCTOSYS set to y and your hardware clock set to UTC.
#clock_hctosys="YES"

# If you do not want to set the hardware clock to the current system
# time (software clock) during shutdown, set this to no.
clock_systohc="YES"

# If you wish to pass any other arguments to hwclock during bootup,
# you may do so here. Alpha users may wish to use --arc or --srm here.
clock_args=""

If, in addition, you want to keep your PC synchronised with a remote NTP time sever on the Internet, see the appropriate commands in my blog post Installing Sabayon Xfce.

No local time. That my configuration.

No rigo either

Well change it to what I told you, then, and ensure you follow exactly the steps specified. Then use the usual KDE method of configuring the clock settings to display the time zone(s) of your choice in the clock Plasmoid you placed on your Panel or desktop.

No rigo either

What steps exactly are you using to try and launch Rigo?

This problem is solved. I not really sure why but in dual boot, it's seems that we have to set the right time on Windows too.

Clicking on the button on the desktop. Every time a message show up about a rigo deamon not present. But i'm sure to have reinstall everything with a "Rigo" on its names.
