How to install and run unison [Solved]

Postby madwoollything » Sun Nov 04, 2012 13:25

I'd like to make use of the file synchronisation package called unison (unison-gtk)

I've installed Unison 2.32.52~0 using Rigo the package manager.

What is odd is that there are no error messages which indicates that the install is fine, however unison does not appear in any of the application menus. Also if you type unison at the command line you get

Code: Select all
Sabayon ~ $ unison
bash: unison: command not found...

What is missing or what else do I need to do to get unison to work?
Thanks

Don't have it installed so I'm not sure, but have a look in the /usr/bin/ directory to see if the executable file is not just /usr/bin/unison (e.g. it might have a suffix).
