Thank you for the reply. I tried downloading the KDE version again, no luck so i will buy the install DVD on ebay.
I did down load the gnome version and have it on live CD, Can't get it installed to hard drive though without erasing
and reformatting what i have and I don't want to do that, it doesn't recognize my unallocated partitions, just see's it as free space,. When I try to install there it tells me not enough room on the disk. I actuality there is 280 gb of free space.
So I'm stumped either way it doesn't look like it's going to work, and the partition manager doesn't have the options
gparted does. It doesn't help that I have never had any experience at this either.
Regarding ubuntu, it never seemed to work as well after I did the updates, why, I dunno. Most of the forum members
are very helpful but some get downright nasty if you even suggest that ubuntu is less than perfect. That being said though,I would have given up long ago except for the help, encouragement and support of the ubuntu community as a whole. I read a quote by a member who said "I use linux because I like linux not because i hate windows" a
sentiment i totally share.
Since my only experience thus far with linux has been ubuntu, i have nothing to compare with, A big reason I want to try sabayon, i will have to wait for the install disk from ebay as the copy i burnt doesn't seem to have the option of a trial. Thank's again, the forum here is definitely a lot quieter than ubuntu, not a bad thing.
