Well, had a few problems with my Media Center after upgrading to Sabayon 10. I saw so many errors that I decided to reinstall with the latest Sabayon 10 as a fresh install....
Stupot gave me some help with the amd drivers, I do apologise to Fitzcarraldo I had forgotton the problems I had before that he helped me with...going senile here
Anyway, because of different things I changed the mobo with one of my other computers and now have the following hardware:
Chassi: SILVERSTONE HTPC SST-LC17B ATX BLACK
Motherboard: Asus P5Q-SE2
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.13GHz cache 4mb
Ram Memory: 4x2GB Kingston HyperX PC2-8500
Graphics: Ati Radeon HD3850 512mb silent
Sound Card: In built
TV card: Hauppauge WinTV PVR 350
PSU: Acer Raw Deal 620w
Hard drives 1x 500GB WD Sata/300,1x1TB WD Sata/300
As it stands at the moment I have a fresh install with graphics working and then no updates yet....
I would like to get XBMC working on Sabayon again....well, I will be honest and say I looked at XBMCbuntu, but wasn't too impressed and really like Sabayon..... and do like having a distro that I can use when not running XBMC
I had this thread going where Fitzcarraldo gave me help with my TV card etc.
What is the situation regarding the installation of XBMC on 10 and getting the Tv card working...?
