I've been on Sabayon via VMware , mainly...

and since adding another drive to my notebook , and getting windows 7 to play nice ... with Neogrub to chain load the sabayon grub .....

the wicd is nice but holy KDE .... SNAFU ...... NETWORK has become NETWOK ...... big snfu ....
(wishlist a script to fix the network setup in this case as the gentoo handbook dosent work even if temp to get network up)

ANYHOW USE KDE SERVICE EDIT TOOL TO LOOK but HELL NO BURN with FIRE !!!! and do the rc-update add "item" default else you'll be trashing Sabayon clean ,,,, stating over if you cant get the network stacks up.

OK time to Trash sabayon as geting the network to run isnt working and even the gentoo basic network tricks to get the nic running to reload n run Sabayon and Google a fix no go......

Chroot and syncing packages or forcing to re-install seems a tad oddly broken.... even selective nuking and re-install of them seems not purge issues...

I feal RE-NOOB-D urgghhh .... its been a few years since I routinely and used Linux daily ......

Equo ---------------------------> packages-list.txt >> /backup (part of it is all the Equo packages downed )

TAR /7z backup shove to windows drive of which items keeping

Wipe and re-install Sabayon

Other Wish list for EQUO in the future is Pack lists options IE even custom Sabayon dists like Sabayon forensics

equo install autoskip que-list="/home/$username/Desktop/my-sabayon-packages-list.txt" or even a thumbdrive

and can clone out a lot of systems if using a LAN REPO , quickly.... also a plus. or in a case like this


trying to turn on some services IE SSHD etc on next boot , and KDE totally giving the network Stack a Lobotomy.
