How do we edit Kickoff application launcher menus? [Solved]

After installing the arcade game Maelstrom from the repo's I expected it to show up under
All Applications > Games > Arcade.
It isn't there. Typing the name will launch it ok but I'd like to put it in the correct category.

How do we do this in KDE?

you could install the package:
kde-base/kmenuedit-4.9.2

When installed, right-click on kickoff menu, and select menu editor.
If that option somehow isn't available yet., it will be at next boot,
but for now you can do: ALT-F2 and type:
kmenuedit

kde-base/kmenuedit should already be installed.

You just need to right-click on the Kickoff icon and select 'Edit Applications...'. The KDE Menu Editor window will pop-up and the rest should be obvious.

OK, "New Item" = New Application.

I had the same problem awhile ago, first as Fitzcarraldo said: You just need to right-click on the Kickoff icon and select 'Edit Applications, after that all you need to do is click on Edit then Restore to system menu, now your app should appear in the menu. Also make sure you are a member of the games group, this should be default in Sabayon 10 unless upgraded from an earlier release.
