Corrected the error for me too :), but just the boot. The tty and F2 remain the same.

Putiz grilo.

Do you have IBus installed? If you do, uninstall it as it can interfere with certain keys.

Code: Select all
equo query installed app-i18n/ibus

Code: Select all
equo remove --nodeps --ask <package_name>

Please post your grub.cfg file.

Also, if you recall, in one of my earlier posts I suggested that you have a look in /boot/grub/grub.cfg to see if the kernel boot line has a "keymap=" entry and, If it does, to delete it. Now try someting slightly different: If it has "dokeymap keymap=br" or "dokeymap keymap=br-abnt2" then delete all that. It probably won't fix the problem, but you need to explore every possibility, if only to rule it out.

What I don't understand is why your grub.cfg file contains "dokeymap keymap=br-a" when I don't have that keymap in my SL installation:

Code: Select all
$ ls /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/br*
/usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/br-abnt2.map.gz  /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/br-latin1-abnt2.map.gz
/usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/br-abnt.map.gz   /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/br-latin1-us.map.gz

As you can see above, the keymaps available on my SL laptop are br-abnt2, br-latin1-abnt2, br-abnt and br-latin1-us. What are the br* keymaps in the directory /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/ on your laptop?:

Code: Select all
ls /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/br*

Also, in your file /etc/conf.d/keymaps you have got the following:

Code: Select all
keymap="br-abnt2"

which appears correct, as it matches a keymap in my keymap directory /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/.

So, if you don't have a keymap file /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/br-a.map.gz then I think that entry you have in your grub.cfg file must be wrong. Have you tried changing it to the following?

Code: Select all
dokeymap keymap=br-abnt2

I changed to "br-ABNT2" but when I start the machine, asked me to choose a language, and among them is "br-a"

Esse negócio está enchendo o saco.

Try upgrading the kernel to the latest version available in the SL repository. See Using Kernel Switcher for how to do that.

Fitzcarraldo,

Obrigado por tudo, não quero ficar te enchendo.. :/ Instalei o kernel 3.6 e nem carrega o gnome-shell. Depois vou tentar buscar mais soluções e se não conseguiu vou formatar a máquina.
