Can equo keep its fancy colors when chained with logsave?

Hi,
I often use logsave to keep track of chamges I make to my Sabayon.
I've noticed that some commands keep their coloring abilities when combined with logsave (e.g. kernel-switcher).
At the same time other commands loose such coloring abilities. One of the latter is equo which is very sad.
Is there any way to keep equo colors when combining with logsave?
