hello everyone! pardon the newbie question, im new to sabayon, i just installed it at work and at home, and finding it awesome!
problem is my home internet connection is too slow, and running "equo upgrade --ask" takes hours. is there some way i can avoid having to download twice from the repositories the same weekly updates? i was thinking if i could copy the downloaded updates at the office to my flash drive and have some way to tell my PC at home to fetch files from it before going out to the repos. but i couldn't find how to do that in entropy.conf
im considering 2 more options: (1) copying over the "/var/lib/entropy/.../5/packages.db"
and doing a "equo upgrade --replay", or (2) "equo rescue --backup" at work and "equo rescue --restore" at home, but i thought it best to ask first
any tips for the bungling beginner? thanks!
