Installer Doesn't Let Me Choose Grub Location

Postby drjster » Fri Sep 28, 2012 13:22

I'm a Sabayon 10 first time user and during the installation process, the installer asked where I wanted to install the bootloader. I have 2 hard drives, SDA and SDB. I always install the bootloader on SDA but was only given the option of installing to SDB which is where the actual distro would be installed. I couldn't find any way of installing GRUB on SDA. Is there a workaround, did I miss something or does the installer not allow for installing GRUB on a different HDD than where the distro is being installed?

Thanks in advance :)

Since no one has answered my question or provided me with information or direction, I am abandoning Sabayon and will not attempt to install it again.

Ok, bye.

I know the option had been there previously. There should be an 'advanced' partition or advanced grub button to click at the bottom right at some point in the installer. I don't have any screenshots of it at the moment and won't bother fetching it for someone who already moved on.
