phpMyAdmin - errors [Solved]

Postby B3rtm3n » Sun Sep 30, 2012 5:42

I am trying to set up Drupal.

However hen logging in to phpMyAdmin I have 2 errors being displayed:
1) The configuration file now needs a secret pass phrase (blowfish_secret).
2) Directory config, which is used by the setup script, still exists in your phpMyAdmin directory. You should remove it once phpMyAdmin has been configured.

I have been reading the wiki pages about config.inc.php but I have no clue where this file is located or even how to create it. I have been trying to find it using other links but no help there. Also the quick install guide is mentioning that Gentoo users need a valid control user???

But where is the config.inc.php in Sabayon located where I can change the blowfish password?

Would look in /var/www/localhost/htdocs/phpmyadmin

If it isn't there try to look up the file with find or locate.

I already looked in /var/www/localhost/htdocs/phpmyadmin

There is no config.inc.php file but there is a file named config.sample.inc.php

You need to copy it and rename it to config.inc.php and fill in a new password, I used this link to generate a password.

Then I removed the folder named config located in /var/www/localhost/htdocs/phpmyadmin

This solved this all

I only got the message left: The phpMyAdmin configuration storage is not completely configured, some extended features have been deactivated. To find out why click here.

When I have time I'll have a look at this too.

Thanks for the help
