Sabayon 10 K and Mate does not boot fully [Solved]

Postby hvralpha » Tue Sep 18, 2012 8:46

This is the first time I had a look at Sabayon. I downloaded both K and Mate versions of 10 and loaded it to a USB drive.

When I boot them and any of the options it asks me for a username and password after booting.
I tried both root and sabayonuser and it does not work.

I have a standard intel motherboard with quad processor and 8 gb ram. Series 4 graphics.

Why does Sabayon not log me in automatically in the live cd and what is wrong?

Are there any other passwords and usernames I need to know

password should be blank and should autoload to desktop. Is the md5sum good? Check the logs?

I have checked the Md5's of both ISO's against their Sabayoun references and they are the same, so the ISO's are fine.

I cannot see the logs as I am running live CD and are stuck in the loging screen.

Any workarounds for this problem or what can I do to see the logs in Sabayon?

Thanks for the help

Ok, reinstalled both iso's to USB sticks and both worked.
Nice software.

FYI: you can still see logs, just hit Alt F1 to get to terminal

USB is the way to go tho, so much better than cd/dvd
