I am currently running a fully updated copy of Sabayon 9 (x64). This is on a Dell XPS-M1530 for anyone that needs specs on the machine they are easily googled. That being said when I plug in a monitor (HDMI) to my laptop Sabayon picks up the monitor and displays it correctly. Here are where the problems begin. The monitor is situated above my laptop screen. When I set it up the way I like it I have issues when moving windows from one monitor to the next. The windows either "stick" in the middle of transferring the window or when it is passed from my laptop monitor (main) to the external monitor the behavior of the window is very odd. Maximizing the window will cause it to move to the far right of the screen and fill up approximately 1 1/2 inchs of the right side of the screen from top to bottom. And moving the windows around also causes it to jump from either the left of the screen to the right or vice versa. Any ideas would be helpful... Not sure what I should do. I'm worried that if I setup the external monitor as my main monitor then when I boot the laptop without the external monitor I will lose functionality of the Activities menu and status icons.
