Sabayon will not install

Wanting to give sabayon a try, I d.l the ISo burnt it to a dvd. Started to boot and got as far as the first screen to choose type of installation. After pressing enter the screen just went blank, and stayed that way, with no apparent reading from the DVD.

I've tried a couple of times and get the same each time. My DVD drive is working OK and will load other distros DVD's without any problem.

Can anyone give me any help, or is thsi normal and it just takes a long time to get past the blank scree. I gave it a couple of minutes.

what ISO did you download? what hardware? check the md5sum? burn it slow as possible?
