Whats the best way of installing the Radeon 6850HD official drivers as when I tried to install them it said there were already drivers in place and i need to purge them.

Hi morcar,
they should be used by default. You can check which drivers you are using with
- Code: Select all
eselect opengl show
If it say's ATI or AMD (I'm not shure which of them) everything is fine.
If it say's something else use
- Code: Select all
eselect opengl list
to list available drivers on your system and select your desired one with
- Code: Select all
eselct opengl set X
X stand for the number you want to be your driver

Thank you for the help.
I looked on Rigo and they had the latest drivers. I dunno why i didnt look there in the first place.
