Setting up SSD with discard on Sabayon [Solved]

Postby bnitch » Fri Aug 03, 2012 17:11

I just installed Sabayon 9 on a 120gb ssd, I had it on a HD and was running fine but would like to keep it on the ssd if I can. I have a Debian distro on another 120gb ssd and know how to set trim on it but Sabayon is a different thing, what works for one won't work for the other. I've had no luck finding the basic way to change my fstab file as root and save it. I have tried google and the search on here and just can't come up with an answer, so HELP ( please ).

I found a page with a general way to set discard and ended up with this - ( /dev/sdc2 on /home type ext4 (rw,noatime,discard,commit=0) ). But if anyone can add to the setting up of a ssd feel free to do so. The page I found the answer on was - http://techgage.com/article/enabling_an ... der_linux/ .
