I'm trying several Linux distributions and Sabayon seems to be a good choice.
So, I have created a USB live by following this:
dd if=Sabayon_Linux_9_amd64_K.iso of=/dev/sdb
I have checked that
- Code: Select all
md5sum Sabayon_Linux_9_amd64_K.iso
is ok.
I have also tried MultiSystem and some other live USB creator tools.
When I boot with my live usb, the following happens:
A menu appears.
I select the KDE desktop.
I press Alt-F1 to see what is going on, and the following error message appears:
- Code: Select all
Could not get boot entry
Attempting to mount media /dev/sr0
Attempting to mount media /dev/sda1
Attempting to mount media /dev/sda2
and it freezes forever.
I have tried 2 different computers, a very recent notebook and a laptop five years old.
Many other Linux distros like Ubuntu work ok.
Any help, please?
