full root partition

Rigo is complaining that my 13g root partition doesn't have enough free space to do updates. Is there a way to free up space without uninstalling stuff?

remove all packages previously downloaded

You can see the results in /var/lib/entropy/client/packages/.
64 bit packages are in a folder /amd64
