Fail with xdm autostart

Yesterday I installed Sabayon 9 SpinBase and I intended to install KDE. Installation was quick and problem-less so I was very happy. But, "a wild problem appears" - I added kdm as DISPLAYMANAGER in /etc/conf.d/xdm and I added xdm to default runlevel in OpenRC. There's no reaction during system boot. I'm still in non-graphical mode.
There's more: when I write

/etc/init.d/xdm start

kdm starts just fine, so I don't think there is problem in KDM, /etc/conf.d/xdm or something. I just have no idea what can be wrong in OpenRC.

Is kdebase-startkde installed ?

Yes, it is installed. I checked my problem once more with xdm as displaymanager and it doesn't start too during boot, but when I start service manually it works.
