manpages localization ?

manpages localization ?

Hi,
when I search a command not inside manpages with "man command" I view a message error.
The error message shows me a "?" character ( system is not in english ) instead an accent character... so wath's wrong ?
Is there an ASCII setting problem ? Localization ? Charset ?
