icedtea dependency question

I tried to install icedtea, but found that it wants to pull in some fonts for Japanese, Chinese and Korean character sets. (arphicfonts, baekmuk-fonts, sazanami). I'm a little puzzled as to why icedtea would have those as hard dependencies. Is there any way I can install it without pulling in those fonts?
