pidgin-2.10.4 fails to start [Solved]

Hi,

I've performed usual upgrade (via weekly repo). Among other packages pidgin was also upgraded. Now it fails to start:

aquarius@dominica $ pidgin
pidgin: error while loading shared libraries: libfarstream-0.1.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I've searched for libfarstream via "equo query belongs libfarstream" but it fails to find package if full path is not provided (and I can't figure aout full path ).
Googling did not helped also.

Any ideas how to get pidgin back to normal?

I'm running amd64 E17 instance of S9

Hi aquarius,

i had the same problem, just install "net-libs/farstream" (through equo, sulfur or rigo) and pidgin runs again.

example:

sudo equo install net-libs/farstream

[aquarius]
