No updates recently? [Solved]

Postby ratcheer » Mon Jun 25, 2012 12:35

I am using the sabayon-weekly repository. For the past two weekends, I have received no updates. Is this normal?

Here is my output from this morning:

Hi, this is normal after a new release.
The updates are nomally every weekend for the weekly repo & will resume soon I am sure.
See here http://sabayon.org/article/sabayon-entropy-updates

If you see updates going to sabayonlinux.org during the week, the chances are that they will be in the weekly update if no problems are found.

i concur, i never get updates even though it states 10000s of packeges updated weekly.

on my old sabayon install a year ago i went almost 2 months with out seeing anyupdates.

it's rather annoying i like the whole emerge -uDNav world everyday, too bad for sabayon this will break your comp if you use both package managers, i just wish updates in sabayon were actually rolled out daily with out having to switch to some crapo testing repo.

i hate the notification manager for sabayon always popping up and saying i'm up to date, does anyone know the specific package this is a part of so i can uninstall it

You can just adjust your application-autostart-settings…

…or remove following if installed:
Code: Select all
app-misc/magneto-loader kde-misc/magneto-kde sys-apps/magneto-core x11-misc/magneto-gtk x11-misc/magneto-gtk3
