Hey,
I figure this is the best project to ask...
I am trying to program a kernel configuration program that will automatically pull up a system hardware list( for the target computer) and install all the needed and usable kernel options according to the hardware list that way you aren't installing excess options.
Does anyone on the Dev team or in general have a list of drivers for components and options or are there any links that someone can send me that are updated?
Thanks for your help in advance,
Pirieianip

Have you tried just looking at the package lists that builds with each ISO? They are available on our mirrors. Maybe with the package lists it will give you idea of what to look for in entropy store.

That gives me a list, yeah... but it doesn't really get into the detail that I would like to go to. I don't want to keep sys-kernel/linux-sabayon-3.2-r2 which is about the closest thing to what you are talking about. What I am talking about is custom kernel compiling with a Automatic installation of all usable components for the target computer whether it be CPU architecture, wireless drivers necessity or KVM virtual machine... Data control, anything that your target computer can handle without kernel option that the target computer has no need of.
