Stuck: attempting to mount media: /dev/sda2

ok basically the subject says it all.

cant install in any way.

stuck at
attempting to mount media /dev/sda2

there is no media in any sda2 or 3 or whatever. what is it trying to mount and why wont it timeout and move on?

this is a 2Gig download. not everyone has fast internet. it took me long enough to download and then theres this stupid error.
