Problem with equo update. [Solved]

Postby BHReach » Sun Jun 10, 2012 1:10

Installed SL 9 Spin-Base

equo update

Usually stalls after 10-15% (got as high as 80%) then times out with an equo error:

Attention: Repository does not exist online.

I did this numerous times always with the same results.

I tried the same thing with my SL 8 XFCE and it works OK.

Differences:

equo version:

SL 8 -> 1.0_rc85
SL 9 -> 1.0_rc120

SL 8 -> sabayon-weekly Repository
SL 9 -> sabayonlinux.org Repository (tried with sabayon-weekly, same error)

I noticed while downloading they use different APIs:

SL 8 -> Repository API: 3
SL 9 -> Repository API: 2

Anybody know how to resolve this problem?

I use SL 8 & equo upgrade here downloads the new repo info then there are no updates at all, which may be possible I suppose but never happened before:

Code: Select all
# equo update --force

I have latest entropy version & always do this first:

Code: Select all
equo install entropy equo --relaxed --ask

I tried

Code: Select all
equo update

again this morning (SL 9 amd64 Spin-Base sabayon-weekly repository) and it worked. I don't know what the problem was yesterday but it seems OK now.
