I am trying to install a Canon Mp190 All-in-One printer. I have done extensive Google searching and have ascertained that I need to install an ebuild referred to as cnijfilter-3.00.2.
But when I went to that particular gentoo bug report, I couldn't find that ebuild!
I need some kind person to guide me through the process. I am running Sabayon 9 with xfce as my desktop. I have accomplished most other tasks in setting up my Sabayon istall, but have stalled at the printer.
Any help appreciated!

I had a lot of trouble getting my MP620 printer working. Here is my thread, I hope it contains info that you can use.
viewtopic.php?f=56&t=26988&hilit=mp620Read the whole thread before you try anything, because there were a lot of dead-end attempts before a total solution was achieved.

See the latest ebuild (cnijfilter-3.00-r5.ebuild) posted on 24 May 2012 in
Gentoo Bugzilla Bug Report No. 258244. If you're using ~amd64 then you will need to install emul-linux-x86-bjdeps-0.1-r4 first (see
Gentoo Bugzilla Bug Report No. 129352). Install them both using Portage in a local overlay on your machine. You'll need to specify USE flags "mp190 -servicetools amd64" if you're using ~amd64 arch.
