Evolution Doesn't Delete Gmail Messages

Postby xjonquilx » Sat May 19, 2012 22:39

Instead of deleting my Gmail messages, Evolution just moves them from the inbox to all mail. I've checked /var/log/messages for errors when I delete a file, but there are none.

Does anyone know why it's doing this? Maybe a setting somewhere that I'm missing?

Just so you know, I researched this and everyone reports that their Gmail messages go to Evolution's trash. I'm fine with that, I don't mind if it goes to Evolution's trash and not Gmail's. I just need it to actually be deleted somehow.

I *thought* I found the solution to this. I had "Automatically synchronize remote mail locally" checked off, which does exactly what it proposes to do. Now I can delete emails in Evolution, but Gmail still shows those emails in my all mail folder.
