Activating a USB modem for wireless Inet access.

I've just installed Sabayon on a friend's machine as a possible alternative to M$ Windoze, but it doesn't recognize the USB modem stick that he uses for connection.

It's type is E153, and although `lsusb` lists it, it can't provide details. Is there a quick solution to this problem, or documentation relevant to it?

So, E153 is from Huawei and is a 3G USB modem.

What do you mean by no reconizing the device? lsusb lists it...so....

I think you only need to configure Network Manager (Login/Pass, etc...)
Have you done it?

Under gnome3, I don't know where is the menu.
But you can simply press ALT+F2 and type

nm-connection-editor

and add a Mobile broadband.
