Well, I got the install going finally (YAY). Culprit was modesetting + the vga=. I tried clicking just nomodeset option for boot options, but that did not work. I then did other options on text install and got rid of the modesetting part as well as vga= part; this seemed to do the trick -- I'm a step further now and almost through the installer

I'm am having massive troubles installing SB8
I have tried the graphical install mode as well as the text install mode.
The menu with options for graphical install and and text install comes up and when I select either I can see it boot up to a point (udev), but right after that the screen goes black and never comes back.
I'm at a complete loss of what to do here/where to look
nvidia gtx560 & core i5
Any help would be greatly appreciated
