Thanks for flagging it. Look at the URLs in the list you gave, and look at the URL in your browser's address bar now. The site domain has changed. You just need to change the site domain in URLs in your list, like so:

viewtopic.php?f=54&t=10863 <-- Understanding config files/update config files
viewtopic.php?f=54&t=5531 <-- unofficial world update/update entire system ** APPLIES TO PORTAGE-ONLY INSTALLATION **
viewtopic.php?f=53&t=9882 <-- howto update compiz-fusion to latest dev. version
viewtopic.php?t=8518 <-- how not to look stupid asking for help
I have updated the first post accordingly.
Note that the thread referring to updating 'world' (
viewtopic.php?f=54&t=5531) is not applicable to SL any more, as it predates the invention of the Entropy package manager and was posted in the days when the only package manager for SL was Gentoo's Portage. If you are using SL now then you should
not follow the procedure in that thread. Also note that, as the packages in SL installed using the Entropy package manager are binary packages, making any changes to the file make.conf has no effect. The only time changes to make.conf would have an impact is if you were using the Portage package manager to install packages from their source code. Unless you know what you are doing, you should leave make.conf alone as you may end up breaking your installation.
