ACL Android Compatibility Layer

I would like to have a FOSS ACL for Linux.
There are a lot of Android games and utils that would be great to use at our Linux desktops.
As Ubuntu has just made a Ubuntu for Android devices - I hope similar products from other distros as Sabayon and others -
Android inside GNU/Linux desktops is possible and it would be great for GNU/destop users and its grow.

I have read there is some work is being done, time ago, but I have only read about proprietary products that do it.

As Android is an Open Source operating System with a Linux kernel and it does exist an Android for X86 version, i think it must be not so hard to make an ACL or even put it as a desktop environment - as it is not X windows - select it at start as you can select Gnome, Cinnamon, or KDE at start.
