Scroll lock not working, unable to set up numpad for term

Alright, first off I have a Sony Vaio VPCEB15FM laptop. I'm running Sabayon 8 XFCE with not a lot of extras. First off, my scroll lock is Fn + NumLock keys-- I am unable to toggle this currently. Another odd thing I've found that works in every other linux distro I've used-- The numpad usually generates an escape sequence in terminal. I would really appreciate if it did this instead of functioning as how it's supposed to actually work-- 2468 are directional keys, 71 are home/end, and 93 pgup/pgdn. I want these to generate escape sequences instead of actually functioning like this, and I think if I could get scroll lock working I'd get it down...

So.

Any suggestions on the scroll lock? Thanks.

*EDIT* I use the numpad as directional keys on a MUD using tintin++ as a client. That's why I want them to generate escape sequences, so I can macro these to directional keys.

Alright, well it works properly under aterm, but what's different from aterm that's different from terminator, xfce terminal emulator, etc, etc? the biggest problem is I don't know how to configure aterm, and would prefer to configure different fonts, font size, etc, etc...

problem with this-- the key i want to "remap" is the same keycode whether scroll lock/numlock is pressed...

is it possible to remap that?
