ATI driver driver Sucks with Gnome-Shell

Hello,

Today I was trying Sabayon 8 on my laptop with ati video card hd 4500 and I still having serious problems with gnome-shell because of the proprietary driver from ati. (In sabayon 7 can not even load gnome-shell ...)

I do not understand why sabayon developers not use the gallium driver by default!

Sabayon always included proprietary software and drivers to improve the user experience out of the box, but is not the case with those who want to use gnome-shell and have ati video card.

Sabayon "G" should come with the Gallium driver and not crappy ATI driver.

What is the easiest way to change the ATI driver for the Gallium driver?
