Daily builds have the daily repository enabled, so you really have the very latest available.
The non-daily builds are meant to have a bit of 'tried and tested' sauce on them, hence a weekly repository.
Daily is stable, when in use for about a week without bugreports packages get 'promoted' to weekly.
Limbo is beta stuff...

Hope that explains it a bit better.

Ah ok thats a good explanation and now it's really clear.
Perhaps this could be put in the wiki, so it's more transparent to new users (even I was unsure  ).

dank u wel

Hey, speedyx, if I were you I'd file a bug report in the SL Bugzilla. Seems that the forum software is converting the Sabayon Mania Wiki URL to Google's URL! I'm looking at the raw text in the Edit Post box and it shows the correct URL in that box, but the URL in the post is for Google. Bizarre bug.

Yes, ok, I do that.... and done!

The reason is because the Sabayon Mania Web site has been hacked by linuXploit-crew. Thus the problem is not due to the SL Forums software. As I write this the site is completely down due to a denial-of-service attack.

@ speedyx : if you have SAB-MAN repository enable , now it is faulty because SM forum is down and repository is strored (or was strored) in the same host

you can ignore downgrade message or disable SM-repository and downgrading all packages

That's at least worthy of a notice in equo I guess...is the repo still open to the maintainer(s)?

I am the manteiner of SM-repo .

the host is unreachable at the time.

It depends on the service provider

Best add this info to the bugreport mate, perhaps Joost or Fabio can write a notice about it, not much else that can be done atm I guess :(

An automated version bump script Fabio and Joost are working on bumps to sabayon-hell. Packages are then still human-tested and if ok, promoted to Limbo.

Hell is a repository where we dump packages that are build by the script called Matter ( http://git.sabayon.org/entropy.git/tree/server ) .

We defined "bump safe" packages here:
http://git.sabayon.org/particles.git/tree/weekly
